As roses are my favoured flowers, I also admire the painter Pierre Joseph Redouté. His rose paintings are very dainty and naturally and really everybody had seen copies of it somewhere.
Hutschenreuther has made a series with different of his rose paintings on china, like this little cup on the desk.
Weil Rosen meine liebsten Blumen sind, verehre ich auch den Maler Pierre Joseph Redouté. Seine Rosenbilder sind ganz zart und natürlich und jeder hat Kopien dieser Bilder schon einmal irgendwo gesehen.
Hutschenreuther hat eine Porzellanserie mit verschiedenen seiner Rosenbilder produziert, wie zum Beispiel diese Tasse auf dem Schreibtisch.

By the way, Redouté's biggest work was to paint 630 different Lilies.
Übrigens, Redoutés größtes Werk war ein Buch mit 630 verschiedenen Lilien zu zeichnen.

die Redoute-Roses sind mir aich schon begegnet, auf Drucken und auf Porzellan.
Kennst Du eigentlich auch Hiffenmark? Das ist Hagebuttenmarmelade, die ich bisher nur in meiner alten Heimat gefunden habe; hier im Schwarzwald gibt es sie leider nicht. Seeehr lecker!
Ich freue mich, daß Dir meine Bilder gefallen. Das ist das Schöne am bloggen - man kann interessante Fotos aus anderen Gegenden und von anderen Orten sehen. Das weckt in mir die Sehnsucht selbst mal dorthin zu fahren. Sehr gerne möchte ich mal nach Belgien und Holland und Dänemark. Irgendwann ...

What a fun post for ME to read as rosehip tea is something I learned to drink at the age of 16 with German friend Marlene at her Mama's place... I became very fond of it but here it is not as readily availabl as in your country. I love the somewhat 'soury' taste and therefore I would like to take it without a cookie. Even though I don't take any sugar in my teas, I MUST have it served with such a lovely silver rose spoon. That is half of the fun. Your Redouté rose cup & saucer and framing are lovely. From a friend I received a monster size tea cup with Redouté rose that would be more suitable for soup! But I LOVE his rose prints; they're like true botanicals. YES, I'm as addicted to roses as you are; especially to rose spoons and other flatware.
Could we start a Rose Anonymous? Like Alcoholics Anonymous... but NO I don't want to kick off - no way! NEVER!
You made it worse with your BOOK but I cannot blame you; I owe it all to myself.

Das Stilleben was Du arrangiert hast könnte auch in einem Ölbild verewigt werden. Ich finde es erstaunich was Dir immer wieder einfällt und wie schön Du es dann umsetzt.

Zu meiner Schande muss ich gestehen, ich habe noch nie Hagenbuttentee getrunken, muss ich doch mal probieren und deinen Keks dazu!
Die Rose ist bestimmt den meisten Menschen ihre Lieblingsblume, sie ist ja auch einzigartig.
Und wenn man dann noch das Besteck und das Geschirr passenD hat, ist das dann schon eine ganz besondere Sache!
