Geranienmarkt Hanau 2013

Trotz der Bauarbeiten auf dem Marktplatz war am 16.5.2013 in Hanau Geranienmarkt.

Although the market place is currently under constraction a Pelargonium market was held on 16.5.2013 in Hanau.In the background you see the old townhall.

Das Angebot an Geranienfarben war wirklich beachtlich, auch wenn ich botanische Duftgeranien und Sorten mit ausgefallenen Blütenformen vermisste. Anbieter waren überwiegend Gartenbaubetriebe aus Maintal. Man konnte sogar seine Kästen vor Ort durch Gärtner bepflanzen lassen. 

The range of colors of geraniums was really remarkable, even if I missed botanical scented geraniums and varieties with unusual flower shapes. Providers were mainly horticulture from Maintal near Frankfurt. One could even let the own boxes plant with purchased garniums by local gardeners.

Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm auf dem Brüder-Grimm-Nationaldenkmal brüteten sicher über anderen Problemen, als der Frage, welche Geranienfarben es dieses Jahr sein sollten.

Die Farben ließen nichts zu wünschen übrig.

Spectacular colors were available.

Lachs mit weiß / Salmon-White 

Weiß mit rosa Mitte, White with pink eyes

Feuerrot / Blazing red

Und das war mein Einkauf. Geranien in den schönsten Farben, Tomatenpflanzen und  Peperonipflanzen.

And this is what I purchased. Geraniums in the nicest colors, tomatoeplants and hot peper plants.
